    maintenance mode for specific triggers

    Hi

From what I see in the Zabbix doc, Zabbix supports maintenance mode for a specific trigger.
However, I don't see it in the UI. Is that just missing UI part or not really supported yet?

    Thanks

You probably misunderstood the documentation. The maintenance period is set for hosts and host groups, but not for any specific triggers.

Note however that you can set tags and then limit the maintenance definition for that host/hostgroup to matching tags. I have *not* tested if this works with tags on triggers though.

FWIW: I can't get the TAG to work with "Trigger Maintenance"

That still sucks, as starting 5.4 you can add Tags everywhere, including Triggers.
Now we got Triggers with Tags, yet we don't have Maintenance functionality to focus them.

Last article about trigger-based Maintenance is year 2012:

        You probably misunderstood the documentation.

You can define maintenance periods for host groups, hosts and specific triggers/services in Zabbix.

How can this be understood otherwise?

Well, you still need to select hosts/hostgroups. You cannot select a trigger in maintenance config, you need hosts+tags. So you need very specific tags to cover one specifit trigger...
If maintenance tags are specified, maintenance for the selected hosts will still be activated, but problems will only be suppressed (i.e. no actions will be taken) if their tags are a match.
          Code:
          Cannot add maintenance
At least one host group or host must be selected.

Does absolutely not work in any way, shape or form. Selected a host and a tag in the trigger. Have tried all combinations of "AND/OR" and "CONTAINS" options and what have you.
EDIT: the events are old. The problems didn't get the new tags I added to the trigger. I'm guessing that things should work as expected.

Tags are added to events during event creation. If you add some tags to trigger later (from teplate or something), it will not affect any old already generated event.
