Item Created to display TEXT -- No TEXT displayed on Dashboard

EDIT: My posts here are out of sequence due to human error and restoring of posts, try to fit them between other posts in thread, you should get a bit more clear picture.

Sorry for being cheeky but looking at the list below, I see two items that are confusing.
1. the error "Failed step of scenario" what is this referring to?
2. the error "Couldn't connect to server: Failed to connect to ${DOMAIN} port 443: Connection refused" - is this a config issue because all teh sites have valid certificates and do open with https.

1. It refers to the step, which failed.. if it is 0, then everything worked.. If you have only one step in scenario and it fails, there should be 1. If more steps, then whichever failed...
2. EDIT: webserver just refused your request, whatever that reason at that moment was...

It is not a "failure" just item name is "Failed step of <scenario>". If its value is 0, then there is no actual failure...

Do you see your certificate item values under "Latest data"? I cannot reproduce such case, that data is present but not shown by widget...

It is supposed to show the number of previous failures, and if there are non then the return is a 0 and that is what I see. So all good. It was me not understanding the alert.

No, it shows the number of the step, which failed... 0 - none failed, 1 - first step failed, 2 - second step failed, etc... You have only one step in your scenario, if that one step fails, you get 1 there as value, no matter how many times it fails in a row...

No I don't have any ideas besides the one I already asked.

I'm not sure but data can't be displayed if you select : "do not keep history" in item definition.

Geesh ... I must be blind, not noticing that before.. Of course.. no history kept, no data to display..
