Problem with install Generic SNMP v2 template

    Hi,

When I tried to install "Template Module Generic SNMPv2", I got error "Two items ("Device contact details" and "System contact details") cannot populate one host inventory field "Contact", this would lead to a conflict.".
I'm total newbie in Zabbix, but I want to learn something about it. SNMPv2 is required for Template Module Poseidon2, poseidon2 is IoT device for server rooms.
I installed too, required templates for SNMPv2, I mean ICMP Template, Generic SNMP Template.

Could someone explain to me step by step how to delete this error?

    Thanks,
    Rattoo0.

    Hi,

I've got the same issue. Running Zabbix 5.4 on Ubuntu 20.04 + MySQL + NGINX.

    Import failed

Is someone know the solution how to solve this problem?

    Thanks,

Read the template and remove whichever entry ("Device contact details" or "System contact details") you don't want.

You don't need to install "Template Module Generic SNMPv2" You need find in your "Template Module Poseidon2" link to it and change to :

Size:	74.2 KB
ID:	426331
        And it will work.

Since 5.0 it is renamed to "Template Module Generic SNMP" Maybe obtaining a newer version helps?
Or if it still continues, just open the template file in editor, find one the items and edit out the update inventory part...

find "System contact details", remove line "inventory_link: CONTACT"
But I think it should not be necessary, if all templates are up to date
