VMWare - Hypervisor - Host Prototype - Host Groups

    Hey.
I was wondering if anyone can assist, perhaps this is already something that has come up and i have yet to find the topic, but basically what i have is a zabbix instance running and im testing it out against a VCenter. Now the issue is the VMWare Admins have created multiple datacenters with a strange a unique naming convention and which makes the HostGroups hard to work with.. I was wondering if its possible to do any preprocessing that can use javascript that will use the case switch to create new macro's that would give me country, state etc.. from the switch.

    Example: VMware Datacenter: GR

So GR is actually Grasse in France, and they break things up allot this way as we have many offices in a single country and we are in many countries around the world so they just use that naming convention.. So i was thinking if possible to use a javascript preprocessing, but im not sure what the data is like to try and process (Also i am not a javascript developer) , and also you cannot use zabbix_get to try and get that data to see what the output is like..

Also this is a POC to see what is possible, so we can group our hosts and do mean average compute calculations on each location for utilization.

Note: Also to note at this moment 1 VCenter is being used so even if inherited hostgroups was possible that would not work as the VCenter instance is in a single location.

    Zabbix Version: 5.4

    Thanks

I managed to solve this issue myself, course i now have issues where some host prototype groups seems to be detected on first run then are flagged for deletion on the second discovery run.. are there certain limitations on these ??

Below is the hostprototype hostgroups.. All the VMWare * ones work the last one however does not, and the extra MACRO's are the new ones i have added in the post processing.. So on the first discovery no problem, any additional it marks that last group for deletion as it already exists... I am unsure why this is happening.
