I have an item that returns a date




I would like to set the trigger to react when the downloaded date does not equal today's date. Please help

I don't have v6 at hand ... so new trigger syntax is problematic..

Old format would be "{speedtest:internet.date.last()}<>{speedtest:inte r net.date.date()}"
Maybe new one is "last(/speedtest/internet.date)<>date(/speedtest/internet.date)"
Correct me if I'm wrong..

I added this way:

last(/speedtest/internet.date)=date()

but it doesn't work, I changed the date received by the item to 21 and the trigger does not alert me about the alarm

You're using "=" in the trigger expression but you said you wanted "not equal". Isn't the logic of the test incorrect?

Then your check should be <> not =.
Trigger fires when expression condition is TRUE. You want to know, when dates are not equal. So you will test for "not being equal"

I managed to use pre-processing to find get item value in date format YYYYMMDD. But need help with trigger.
