    Zabbix agent cache (Windows Server)

    Hello everyone,

I have a question, could the Zabbix agent be configured to save monitoring cache if the server loses network connectivity? it would be interesting to know what happened on the server once connectivity is recovered,

I would like not to lose the data of all my graphs if only the connectivity is lost (firewall problems or simply the network card stopped responding for a few minutes).

Greetings and thank you very much

As far as I remember, if you use active agent mode - yes.
You can always test it yourself.

BufferSend no 1-3600 5 Do not keep data longer than N seconds in buffer.
BufferSize no 2-65535 100 Maximum number of values in a memory buffer. The agent will send
all collected data to Zabbix server or proxy if the buffer is full.
So no more than 3600 sec or 65535 values... defaults are, as you can see 5 and 100.

I have configured the agent with the BufferSend and the BufferSize and testing I disconnect the network card leaving the server without connection for a few minutes and when I lift the card recovers the communication with Zabbix but not the data of those minutes offline, something else that may be failing?

You may try an agent2 for active checks. They promise persistent storage for up to a year.

All of the above applies to item of the "active agent". Not passive!

I am using active agent, I have configured the BufferSize=300 and BufferSend=60,

I can see that after a failure if I recover some graphs but for example the graphs of CPU consumption and RAM memory are not recovered (I added some screenshots) this may be because of some misconfiguration? also comment that I have applied the template "Windows by Zabbix agent active".
              Thanks
