Zabbix backup server with a new version

    Hi,

I have installed Zabbix v4 on Ubuntu 14.04 and I want to transfer the server and all the configurations and data to a new server with Ubuntu 20.04 (and Zabbix 6)

What is the cleanest way to transfer ly server ?

    - Is the database's structure the same for Zabbix 4 and 6 ?
    - Can I just copy all files in /etc/zabbix to the new Host ?

    Thank's

DB schemas are not same. But upgradeable...
    FIrst read docs... https://www.zabbix.com/documentation...rade_notes_600

Your course of actions might be like this...
Install your new server and empty DB. Do not start it...
Import db schema for v4 into new empty DB. You can find that script in v4 source package... schema.sql most probably, under your required DB subdirectory...
Now export everything from old DB (backup)
Restore this backup into new DB...
Now configure all your needed users everywhere in new instance (config files, DB etc...)
Start you v6 server, at first startup it detects old version of DB and does all the needed upgrade steps.
    Wait until it is finished.
    Enjoy your new version...
