Zabbix agent is not available

Hello everyone,

I have a little question, i have to monitor a Windows Server with MSSQL on it, but when i install the agent (i did it on another Windows server and i don't have any problems with it) in my dashboard they appear as unavailable (the little box is grey ).
So my question is what's the matter with my agent.
here the configuration



and on the agent side i configured

server = <my ip zabbix>
Listenport = 10050
ServerActive = <my ip zabbix>:10051
Hostname = <my hostname>

the two hostname match and i do receive data but not all data.

What did i do wrong ?

AFAIK even a single working passive item on a host will get the host status to green (talking about Zabbix 6.0 or older here), so that's why some of your "active" agents are green.

Understood i need to have a least one PASSIVE agent working to have the status in green.

Search for "zabbix agent grey" or read the documentation (https://www.zabbix.com/documentation...guration/hosts) and you'll see that active agent status is not ever going to go green in Zabbix 6.0 or older.

If you also have passive items and they are not working, normal troubleshooting steps apply: why doesn't server reach the agent (see the logs of the server and agent).

Hi!
Can you see this Windows Server data in the Latest data? Have you used the Zabbix proxy?

i do receive data in the latest data but there refresh time is not matching the configuration --> like for the the cpu its supposed to refresh every minutes but when i check the data the latest refresh is 2 minutes, no i used zabbix agent, never used zabbix proxy

Thanx for your answer Markku, i've checked the log and they said my client can't connect to my server --> i corriged
i don't understand cause i have some other host (on linux) and they do have the green box

also i've read the doc but they said is gray if the interface is unknow but i do receive data from the active check.
i do have passif item for mssql but one step at a time
