Issue with Recent Alerts not showing up in the Zabbix Dashboard

Respected All,

It would be helpful if you could all help me since I am a newbie with Zabbix.

As part of my work on the Zabbix Server, I have to monitor approx 600-700 servers hosted in the AWS cloud. The recent alerts have not been shown in the Zabbix dashboard for the last few days.

In other words, the alerts are constantly getting delayed and appear too late on the dashboard. Also, I haven't set up any proxies or notifications (emails or SMS).

Important Information:

Zabbix Server version: 6.0
Database used: MySQL 8
Database size: Approx 10GB

Both the Zabbix server configuration as well as the database is present on the same server.

Server Specs: 4GB RAM / 70GB Disk / 1 vCPU

Also, I have referred to some of the Forums for the same where I came to know about the tuning of the Zabbix server conf file.

Hmmm...4 Gb RAM is pretty small for Zabbix database, especially if MySQL running on the same server.
Check slow queries in database.
To enable the slow query log, type the following command at the mysql> prompt:

SET GLOBAL slow_query_log = 'ON';
SET GLOBAL long_query_time = X; where X is time in seconds, for example, 5
SET GLOBAL slow_query_log_file = '/path/filename'[I];[/I]

I am extremely thankful for your quick response.

As per your guidance, I have enabled the slow query log. The value is set to 3 seconds.

Also, could you please suggest the RAM size so that I can upgrade my instance size accordingly?

What is your average number of items per 1 host and housekeeper's settings?

On average, there are 30-34 items per host depending on the templates I have associated with the hosts. As per as housekeeper settings are concerned, I am unaware of exactly what you want. Could you please guide how do I check housekeeper settings?

Did you find some queries there?

Yes, there are logs with regard to slow queries. Shall I share it with you?

By your NVPS would be nice to have at least 8 GB RAM

As per your suggestions, I will upgrade my Zabbix server instance to 8GB RAM.

I hope it resolves my issue.
