What happens if I: Agent Update?

If I download the new 6.2 agent and push it to machines running the 6.0 agent using something like PDQ deploy. Will the config file get overwritten? I have 25 sites running individual proxies reporting back to a cloud based server, it took forever to set these up initially and I don't want to break all of the connections, but I do want to stay up to date. If the config doesn't get overwritten by pushing out a new agent that would be great, if it does that means I have to create 25 separate upgrade jobs. Either way will work but obviously one is far easier than the other.

I've used the officially packaged agents on Debian servers for years, and I have never had the agent install/upgrade overwrite my configurations and auxiliary files in /etc/zabbix/zabbix_agentd.d. Also, removing the agent leaves the zabbix_agentd.d files there.
