Hot to create items that will get data only from py-zabbix

Hello everyone

I have some python processes and I want them to send some metrics to my Zabbix via py-zabbix. How do I create such items in GUI that will get data only this way? All item types seem to require some host interface or some agent or some scripts by zabbix server.

Those items need to be of type "zabbix trapper". Items are bound to interfaces, so you need to add an interface to a host. Even if there is no real agent there, you can define one...

cyber Thanks! After reading documentation one more time I learned that trapper type was needed and set up all the items. I'll mark your post as an answer so those who will face the same task will find the solution quickly
