Excluding a VM from VMware auto discovery

I used the below template to monitor all my VMware vCenter VM and Hosts. It is working fine. I want to exclude a few VMs that is not required for monitoring and tried to disable those VMs but that is not working properly, I mean it keeps sending alerts.

Is there any way to exclude it from the auto-discovery?

You probably need to edit discovery rule (Discover VMware VMs) and add some filters.

Did you end up figuring out the filters to do this? I've got the same requirement

        Hi,

Create this filter in the VMware VM FQDN discovery filter section for every VM that you don't want to appear in Zabbix monitoring:

Name:	image.png
Views:	138
Size:	4.0 KB
ID:	506003

For example, if the VM name is VM1, then put ^VM1$
