Hello first post here, please be patient,
sometimes the availability of one host depends on another, that allow to control the behavior of hosts and services based on the status of one or more other hosts or services.
I'm reading https://www.zabbix.com/documentation...s/dependencies and
For configuration to define a dependency, the doc suggests to :
- Open the Dependencies tab in a trigger configuration form.
- Click on Add in the 'Dependencies' block
- Select one or more triggers that our trigger will depend on.
In the example proposed by guide trigger 'HIGH CPU UTILIZATION' depends on 'LOAD AVERAGE IS TOO HIGH'
an unsuitable example for 'real' host to host | service to host
Vice versa Service-tree seems focused only on Services->Services.
Can you suggest an example of triggers that takes in exam how to simulate real Dependencies "router->switch->hosts" scenario ?
Thank you for any reply,
m.
