MySQL Binlog file increasing day by day

    Hello everyone,
I have a problem that the MySQL binlog file size is increasing day by day. That makes the storage on my hard drive not enough. Is there a way to limit the binlog file generation or something to improve the storage capacity of my Zabbix Server?
And what is this binlog file?
If I delete these binlog files, will there be any problem with Zabbix Server?
    Any help is highly appreciated.
    Thanks everyone.

Don't take this the wrong way, but if Zabbix is a vital service, you need someone with some mysql knowledge He're is your opportunity to start :-)

My only mysql knowledge is really years being a Zabbix admin, since about 1.8 anyway.

    Binlog info: https://stackoverflow.com/questions/...inlog-in-mysql

My understanding: If you're not replicating mysql or doing "point in time" recoveries, you probably won't use binlog. They can be suppressed with my.cnf option skip_log_bin and restart mysql.

    Binlog retention: https://dev.mysql.com/doc/refman/8.0...inary-log.html

See the default, I think 30 days was my system default. For example, if you had a reliable weekly "cold" backup, change binlog-expire-logs-seconds to a value a little over a week.

My DBA says we can safely stop these logs, I'm going to make that change next week when I do the 6.0 index of history tables.
