    Windows service exclusion issues

    Good afternoon

I am a relative newcomer to Zabbix, having just taken up a role at a company that uses Zabbix as its monitoring software.

I wanted to exclude the edgeupdate service from the list of services from monitoring, however when I added it in, it somehow seemed to break the services monitoring and now Zabbix is reporting all services that haven't started automatically. I reverted the changes back and the issue is still present.

For the record, the template macros under OS - Windows via agent are set as follows:

The filters in Module - Windows services via agent are set as follows:

I followed the post here https://www.zabbix.com/forum/zabbix-...overy-zabbix-5 to see if this helps, but it hasn't helped. Not sure where I am going wrong.

Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

Is anyone able to help on this? I'm still having an issue with all the services reporting in.

if you reverted your changes, then I would also delete all the discovered items, and let discovery do its job again.

When you say the discovered items, would that be from the template macros or would that be each machine I would need to delete and then reinstate?

on monitored hosts. Usually items which are not discovered are marked also with a yellow "!". those you can delete for sure... or you can set "keep lost resources" to 0 in discovery conditions... then after next run, it shoudl remove all the "not discovered any more" items ... after that you can set some period back there ..

Please can you clarify how I go about deleting these alerts and ensuring that the rules I have set are being applied (as per my screenshot)

Just following up on this, I have tried the following through system settings > regular expressions

And through the OS - Windows via agent template

However, the issue persists. I even experimented with deleting some servers and re-adding them to Zabbix to see if the issue clears. However, I am at a bit of a loss. If anyone can help, it would be greatly appreciated.
