How to "mute" a node in the first Hour.

Hi,
i have the situation that my nodes are "blinky" on nearly all Tests / Triggers the first Hour after they got Recoverd. After this hour they get the state "ok", but before they say "ok" "problem" "warning" etc in a high amount.

So is there an option to "mute" a node in the first hour after recovery?
Because its rly annoying to get 15 to 30 mails after a new node joined.


Also there is another problem with my zabbix.
I have One old node i cant delete.
I can rename it, i can disable it, but i cant delete it.
It has a huge amount of items (818) and graphs (404) maybe this is the problem?
I got no error message, but if i want to delete it, i will be redirected to an empty "hosts" site.

Not sure if this will do the trick, but have you tried placing the new host in maintenance mode? (Configuration -> Maintenance).

As to your second problem, try deleting the items first.

Hey, i cant delete the items itself..

But i found a solution, i had to go INTO one ITEM and had to delete the Item prototypes, after this i could delete the items and after this i could delete the host. So its gone now *happy*

A Maintenance period for each new node (or one period for a bulk of nodes).
Seems to be rly costly. Maybe its easyer jsut to disable the node for this period.

I will check this and then i will post here if thats worked.
