    Zabbix with Fortigate issues

    Hello All,

We were using Zabbix to monitor our Fortigate firewall for the whole last year and it was doing great but recently we upgrade our Firewall and since that we didn't get any notification also I have noticed that if one of the tunnels went down the operational status doesn't changed from up to down any ideas about this issue

    Zabbix Version 6.2.6
    FortiOS 7.0.9
    Used Template

I guess your template does not return correct values any more. It may as well be incompatible with new version... You should check if your items are still in supported state, try to get values for them from command line etc..

      Hello cyber

Thanks for your reply I have checked the items and all items supported and returning data but as I mentioned before I have notice that some values on items didn't changed even if the it's changed on the Firewall

if you can see in the snapshot it's returning value but it should return 0 instead of 1

I've given up on that template for all my fortigates.
I haven't looked really critically at this case since the 7.0.9 firewalls are an edge use case for me, BUT I have success with 7.0.9 and VPN tunnel monitoring with this template:
