All,
I am running Zabbix 2.2.11 to monitor devices in my environment. I have this installed on an Ubuntu Server 14.04.3 LTS. I am seeing some inconsistent data between two devices. I have the devices connected through a fiber connection. 1 device is a Cisco Nexus 7000 and the other device is a Cisco cpt 600. I am using 1.3.6.1.2.1.31.1.1.1.6. for my input string and 1.3.6.1.2.1.31.1.1.1.10. for my output string. When I make a graph showing the in from the 7k and the out from the cpt, they should look almost identical. Also when I make a graph showing the in from the cpt and the out from the 7k it should be the same. I am just focusing on the interface to interface traffic. I have seen this in multiple places across my domain. I have verified that I am using the right end string for the interfaces.
The items are configured as follows:
Numeric (unsigned)
Data type decimal
Units are bps
I am using a custom multiplier of 8
my update interval is 30 seconds
Store value Delta (Speed per second)
Show value As Is
