    Template stops working after some time

    Good afternoon, gentlemen, how are you?

    I have the following scenario in the company.

    Monitor some Dell clients and servers use a template Dell Open Manage. On some servers the template collects data usually provided when the template is configured on the hosts, but in others the template when linked starts pulling the data correctly and runs down slowly and the items become unsupported if I enter the proxy customer and give a restart or force-reload the template back to work.

    Has anyone experienced a similar scenario? What can be a solution to this problem?

    Look in the proxy log for messages like:

    SNMP agent item (some item) failed: first network error
    and
    resuming SNMP agent checks on host (host)....

    This can be symptoms of slot host response or slow network.
    Try changing the proxy Timeout value, try changing the SNMP interface setting of "Use bulk requests".

    Typically, I see this on some hosts, not all, with the same template, or on similar devices that are SNMP challenged.

    I've seen OpenManage on Windows systems stop reporting some template items until the service is restarted on Windows, but since reloading the proxy config changes the condition, I don't think that is the case.

      Problem Solved

      Thank you for help LenR, I changed the value of the Timeout on the Proxy and disable the option to use batch requests in the SNMP interface configuration on the hosts, and now everyone is working perfectly. Thank you for help, and hope this serves to help more people!
