MongoDB Template for Agent 1?

Dear community,
the templates I found for MongoDB are for the use with Agent2. Could I use them with an Agent1 as well, will just loose some items? Or is it in general not possible to use an Agent2-Template with Agent1?
Sorry, I do not know in detail the difference between agent1 and agent2.

If it is only possible with agent2.... how does it work... do I have to REPLACE agent1 or can they exist parallel?
If I have to replace the older agent1, I would have to do all the amandments on the agent1.conf again for an agent2.conf?

No, you can't use the standard MongoDB monitoring with Agent1 because MongoDB is implemented as a plugin. The plugins are only for Agent2. But both agents can co-exist on the same host just assign a different port for Agent2 and add a second interface to the host in Zabbix.

Thanks a lot Glencoe. As far as I understood, agent2 can all the same things agent1 can do, plus some additional features like MondoDB. I guess I will replace agent1 in this case. Thanks a lot for your help.
