How to add POE power consumption to the data returned with the HP Switch template?

I have some 700 switches, mostly from HP with brandname Procurve 2530 (nowadays rebranded to Aruba).

I have just started to experiment with Zabbix to monitor these switches. I works like a breeze to add them via SNMP and use either the template "HP Enterprise Switch by SNMP" or the "HP Comware HH3C by SNMP". I seems to get as much data back regardless of which one I choose of these 2 templates.
What I really, really would like to get back via SNMP is data on the POE power consumption. This because the 2530 switches can only be populated with about half of the ports with Cisco accesspoints before the POE watt is not enough and the switch start to malfunction.
I think that it should be possible to get the POE power consumption through SNMP, because we also use a tool from HP called iMC, and there it does collect POE data.

I would suggest that iMC has no other "magic connection" to the switch than using SNMP and MIB's to collect this data, so it should in other words be possible to get this via SNMP also to Zabbix, right?
I have never worked with MIB's and customizing them, so my beginner questiion is: Has anyone any tips on how to get POE power consumption data collected in Zabbix for HP 2530 series switches? Any help in the right direction would be greatly appreciated!

its just a bit of brain science with a pinch of rocket surgery..

But you should have there some examples of SNMP items, so its just a clone and replace OID-s and names.. And testing... a lot of testing. tools like snmpwalk and snmpget can come in handy.
