    Trigger for ICMP Ping over 200

    Hello,

    I am trying to set up the ICMP Ping for2 servers different.
    Atm i am using the ICMP Ping Template which ist preinstalled in Zabbix (6.4.4).

    For 2 specific servers i need now a new template where the ICMP PIng only triggers when the ping is over 200 for 5m.
    Can someone tell me what has to be changed

    This is the Trigger ICMP: High ICMP ping response time

    avg(/ICMP Ping/icmppingsec,5m)>{$ICMP_RESPONSE_TIME_WARN}

    Any help would be awesome.

    kind regards

    Value for {$ICMP_RESPONSE_TIME_WARN} macro?
    icmppingsec returns value in seconds, so if that 200, you mention, is in milliseconds, then 0.2 should work.
    Hopefully you check more often than once in 5m... otherwise there would not be much to average...

    You don't need another template, you can set that macro value on host level also, so it will overrun the one from template...

      Hi,

      thank you for the response. This value was what i was looking for.
      Beside this trigger there are the other one but i haven´t changed the time values here.
      Any "best practise" i should set this here up? This Template is how i said a preinstalled one from Zabbix itself.
