Widget with HOST UP/DOWN status

Hi everyone! New to Zabbix.

Anyone on how to add a widget that shows the host UP/DOWN status (basic ping will do)

I got mostly VM hosts (Windows and Linux servers) and would like to know their status if they are online (UP) or offline (DOWN).

Any help is appreciated. TYIA

If you are using VMware then you can use "VMware: Power state" item. It will return the state of Virtual Machine.

But how about those physical ones? I still got some physical servers specially on small sites (branches)

EDIT:

Power state is not what I'm going for...just a simple ping will do, like simple checks in CheckMK, dashboard presents if host is down or up.

Mean you want only monitor the ping status on Dashboard right? If yes you can assign the Data overview widget to monitor the ping status with configure proper tag.

Yeah. Do you have sample screen for this? Cant figure this out yet

Ya sure, please see below screenshots. Add widget and select Data overview.


It will see the result as below.

For this type of visualization you have to configure Grafana. Grafana gives you more visual.
