CentOS--> mysql: command not found

I am new to Zabbix and this is my first install.
While following the instructions, I am stuck with mysql: Command not found step.

Below are the commands run so far. Any suggestions are appreciated.

You must install client and server module for MariaDB or MySQL.

If you want to use standard package for CentOS 7, it will use mariadb.

ex.

# yum install mariadb-server
# systemctl start mariadb
# systemctl enable mariadb

If you want to use MySQL, you must download from MySQL Community site.
http://dev.mysql.com/downloads/mysql/

I got it installed, but then the browser is saying "Zabbix server is not running: Information displayed may not be current." in yellow as a footer for the page.

I followed the steps on https://www.zabbix.com/documentation..._from_packages and
[root@acsmonitoring zabbix-server-mysql-3.0.4]# zcat create.sql.gz | mysql -uroot zabbix
[root@acsmonitoring zabbix-server-mysql-3.0.4]# vi /etc/zabbix/zabbix_server.conf
[root@acsmonitoring zabbix-server-mysql-3.0.4]# systemctl start zabbix-server
[root@acsmonitoring zabbix-server-mysql-3.0.4]# vi /etc/httpd/conf.d/zabbix.conf
[root@acsmonitoring zabbix-server-mysql-3.0.4]# systemctl start httpd
[root@acsmonitoring zabbix-server-mysql-3.0.4]#

Am I missing any step?
