SNMP "Timeout while Connecting..."

Hello.

In my host screen, on some hosts the SNMP status frequently turns red saying
"Timeout while Connecting to "IP":"PORT"".

The thing is, an "snmpget" command always works and has no timeout, even when Zabbix says "Timeout... "
Even hosts which are literally next to the zabbix server are getting this timeout frequently. Item values are stored correctly.

What I tried so far: -unchecked "bulk request" = no improvement it's even worse, poller process popps out da roof

looked up Server log:- revealed problems

SNMP agent item "x1" on host "1" failed: first network error,wait for 15 sec.
enabling SNMP agent checks on host "2": host became available
SNMP agent item "x3" on host "3" failed: first network error,wait for 15sec.
resuming Zabbix agent checks on host "4" and so on....

every host is resuming/or availible again after some time...

I did something wrong. But what?
Could somebody push me to solution please?

What's the timeout in zabbix server config? Default is 3 i think. Too low. Try 30 seconds

SNMP COMMUNITY was wrong in item prototype

I've found the issue.
There was a template with item prototypes, which were set to "SNMP community = public". Since I only use custom communities, this was wrong.
The change to {$SNMP_COMMUNITY_READ} Makro, as SNMP community value, was purposeful.
