Help with ICMP monitor (6.4)

I know it might sound silly but im not sure what im missing..
im trying to configure a new host only with icmp ping to get alerts when it gets down, but when adding the host, i have to choose "agent", which means i have to choose a port.
in this case, the host will always be greyed out.
how can i set up icmp monitoring correctly?

icmping uses the IP defined in Agent, the port is not used but needs to be present, so leave it as it is.

in this case, the host will always be grayed out.
