Best Practice to Upgrade Zabbix Agent

Hi,

I'm running Zabbix server 6.0 LTS version and all hosts are with Zabbix-agent and I want to upgrade the agent to zabbix-agent2 now.
What will be the best practice to do this?
1) I will be able to convert the old data to the agent zabbix-agent2?
2) If no, how to delete the zabbix-agent data which anyways will not be useful for agent2.

What do you mean with "old data" ? In general, uninstall classic agent and install agent2. Most of configuration file is even the same, so transfer needed things to agent2 config (Server, ServerActive , poller counts etc). Start it up and enjoy..

Thanks for the update, I mean also need to move the new Template Linux OS, then I will loose historic data. So do I need to remove the history data from database? or it is possible re-import it? If so any guide on this how to remove it.
