    Upgrade from Zabbix 4.x LTS/PosgreSQL 11/CentOS7 to 6.x LTS/PostgreSQL 15/Debian 12 ?

We have an older system with
    • Zabbix 4.x LTS
    • PosgreSQL 11
    • CentOS7
...and we want to migrate/upgrade/move to
    • Zabbix 6.x LTS
    • PostgreSQL 13
    • Debian 12
    as efficient as possible.
We do not need the history of the collected data from the agents.
However, it would be nice to have the hosts and hostgroups moved to 6.x as well. On 4.x, we think we are using some templates which will be not supported anymore in 6.x.

Looking at the different challenges (Postgres OID) support on Zabbix on different Debian versions, etc... we are unsure how we should best proceed.

Either we try to upgrade somehow (with the risk of update steps not working)
We were looking at Upgrade Zabbix (5.0, 5.2, 5.4) to 6.0 like a Pro [+6.0 to 6.4 guide] (bestmonitoringtools.com) and Zabbix 4.0 to 6.0 Upgrade, MySQL to PostgreSQL :: Connor's Blog (mcbrineellis.com) for some ideas...

    Question to you:
What would be the best way to do what we try to achieve?

    Thanks
    Dan
