Count Of Trigger

Hi everyone, sorry if this topic has already been discussed.
I would like to understand if it is possible to make a trigger count.
I have a trigger that tells me when a printer has run out of ink, I would like to associate a new one that counts how many times that trigger is triggered so I can have statistics for the last 7 days.

Use the sum feature and put in the time period you want to validate If I was you i would try to make an item which is 0 when inkt is OK and 1 when its out. Then this sum feature works fine

Well that calculates the values, if you really want to count the amount of times the trigger has triggered then you maybe have to find a better solution to keep track of the run out messages.
In theory you could create a depending item but to what reason... and how is something different
