Hi everyone,
I am facing issues with SMTP authentication on Zabbix : 7.0.0alpha9
Installed on a Debian 12 VM on VirtualBox
I am currently using a Exchange server for my compagny (ex-mail.biz)
My media types settings are as below;
Type = email
Email provider = Generic SMTP
SMTP server = ex-mail.biz
SMTP server port = 587
SMTP email = [email protected]
SMTP helo = i am not sure about this one ( private-xx.fr / or / ex-mail.biz )
Connection security = STARTTLS
SSL verify peer = unchecked
SSL verify host = checked
Authentication = normal password
User = [email protected]
Password = xxxxxxxxxxx

cat /var/log/zabbix/zabbix_server.log

I tested those settings with thunderbird installed in the Zabbix VM and it worked perfectly.
I can't figure out whats the issue and if its from the VM or Zabbix.
The only things i am not sure about is the SMTP helo and the SSL verify peer / host
I Already try to check / uncheck those settings and different SMTP helo.
I hope someone will have an idea of whats going on.
Thanks in advance for helping me.
