How do I change a default value

Hello, I would like to raise

{$CPU.PRIV.CRIT.MAX}

from the default 30 value to something higher to avoid unnecessary notifications. Is there a way to change that default value? How would I go about doing that?

Hi,

Based on the build of the macro I can tell this one is user-defined macro and it should be relatively easy to amend. First of all try to figure out on what level is that macro configured: global, template or host.

• for global macros visit Administration -> Macros
• for host and template level macros, open host or template properties and look for the Macros tab

From there just change it's value in Value field to whatever suits your needs.

2 cents:
1. for few deviatons: Open one Host -> click on Tab Macros -> Click on Tab Inherited and Host Macros
2. for larger groups of hosts with deviating macro values: create a new Template for each group and inherit the Macros at the same place as in 1.
