MySQL Server performance degradation, looking for insights and solutions

    Hello everyone!,

I'm facing some trouble with my MySQL server lately—it's been slowing down, and I'm not sure why. The queries that used to be lightning-fast are now dragging, and it's affecting our application's performance and user experience.

Here's the scoop: Our MySQL server handles the database for a web app that gets decent traffic. We've got a pretty good server setup with enough CPU, memory, and disk space, so I don't think it's a resource problem. But something's definitely off.
I've tried looking into it myself—I checked the slow query logs, tweaked some indexes, and went over the server config. But I haven't found the smoking gun yet.
I'm turning to this community for help. Has anyone else dealt with sluggish MySQL servers? Any ideas on what might be causing it and how to fix it?
Specifically, I'd love to hear about:
    1. What usually makes MySQL servers slow down?
    2. How can I figure out what's causing the slowdown?
    3. Are there any tricks for optimizing MySQL settings and queries?
    4. Any tools or tips for keeping an eye on MySQL performance in real-time?
Any advice or pointers would be a huge help. Thanks a bunch!
