Problem with metric after agent switch to proxy backup

Hi, all
Am working in a new Zabbix solution.
2 servers in HA.
1 proxy principal
1 proxy backup
On the agents i have configured serveractive with bot proxies separated with ";" to use the backup only when the principal is out.
But i have one problem, when the MLS flap some agents switch to proxy backup and for example: 2 of the agents work well and 2 dont report metrics and began to increased the lastcheck.
i tryed to increase the TIMEOUT=30 on the agentd.conf but this dont fix the issue.

the switch of some agents isnt the problem, the problem is that some agents gets like frezzed and dont send metric to the server.

Some idea that what could be happend?

Cluster configuration is one or more server addresses separated by semicolon. Multiple Zabbix servers/clusters and Zabbix proxies can be specified, separated by comma. More than one Zabbix proxy should not be specified from each Zabbix server/cluster.

Thanks for the kick response, am using Zabbix 6.4, i cant use proxy load balancing am raight?

Correct. And regarding 7.0, at the time of this writing, there are some inconsistencies both in the mentioned official documentation and in the blog post above. I presume they will be rectified in the nearest days.

Hello All.
I did an upgrate to version 7 on my solution but am still have the problem when de agents switch to othen proxy.
i set a proxies group.


after start up both proxies some agents switch and for some reason proxies don't work well




On the proxy log the message es that host is not monitored by them.

i tryed to set only 1 proxy and both proxies. but in both cases the result its the same. when you stop one of them the server switch the host to other proxy, but the agent don't receive the change and try to send the metrics to the stopped proxy.

Did you upgrade the agents as well? If they are older than 7.0 they won't understand the proxy redirections.

Hello Markku, sorry for the delay on the answer, we have all servers, proxies and agent on 7 Version, we found that this error is related to a bug, and we have to upgrade to 7.0.5. to see if the error is fixed and we could let the proxy bkp started on the proxy group.
Zabbix work its new for us and it's a long way to learn about it
