Aggregation of Several Components

Hello all,

Is it possible to aggregate several components into one number? For example my OPNsense firewalls do not show one cpu utilization %. They show nice time, user time, interrupt time, and system time %. I would like to add these up and show them as one cpu utilization %.

If you have multiple values of the same unit, you can probably aggregate them with a calculated item.
However, it's not because they have the same unit that they mean the same thing.

So, for your example, different CPU timings, when aggregated, may not be a good metric to monitor. On the other hand, if you have individual timings per core, it makes more sense to aggregate all cores for each timing

I hear ya...I just wish that cpu utilization would be the same across templates. Its very annoying that I have to go nuts trying to figure out a workaround for simple items like cpu and memory utilization.

The thing is, devices/systems are different. So the metrics are different for each one.
Fortunately, Zabbix is very flexible.
