Mikrotik monitoring with Zabbix

Hi there.

I have set up Mikrotik router monitoring with Zabbix using SNMP, all working fine, but I am wondering is it possible to monitor network traffic per device? What I have now is monitoring per interface. I'm not sure if this is even possible via SNMP?

Hi Artur,

It's doable, you'd just have to enable SNMP on each of those devices. Please give documentation a read and adjust for your version of Zabbix.

What about devices that don't support SNMP? I have some IoT devices and want to monitor their bandwidth usage with Zabbix.

It's quite complicated.

I can only suggest creating firewall rules and collecting them using a script connected by ssh with keys and sending items data using zabbix-sender.
