how to automatically disable special triggers from discovery

    Hello : )

we use zabbix discovery to get the windows services and there status.

Some windows services do not run on every reboot, for example trusted installer, BITS or "OneSyncSvc_*

    Service "{#SERVICE.NAME}" ({#SERVICE.DISPLAYNAME}) is not running (startup type {#SERVICE.STARTUPNAME}) {Template OS Windows:service.info[{#SERVICE.NAME},state].min(#3)}<>0

How can i exclude them from the triggers?

General - Regular expressions - Windows service names for discovery

    Example:
    Code:
    ^(MMCSS|gupdate|SysmonLog|clr_optimization_v2.0.50727_32|clr_optimization_v4.0.30319_32|OneSyncSvc_.*|BITS|^.*TrustedInstaller.*)$

        Services still appearing

I'm hoping I'm just missing something but I've added what I thought was the necessary expression:

        ^(clr_optimization_v4.0.30319_64|swi_update_64)$

Removed and re-added the hosts but it still detects these services? I don't think my syntax is wrong, any help is much appreciated I've been at this all day

I am having the same problem too

I followed the same pattern as described above but i am still getting the notifications that such services are not running anymore....is there someone that could please point us to the right direction?

I'm having problems figuring out how to exclude certain services as well if someone more knowledgeable could help.

            Thanks!

I know this is an old thread, but since no one answered with a useable answer for those listed, and it is still relevant, I thought I would add my process.

Basically I went to the windows service discovery in the template I was trying to change and created a filter where #SERVICE.NAME does not match #SERVICE

I found the issue is to do with the amount of items on a line,
when I added all the services to be excluded on one line it would not work,
if I split the line into smaller groups it worked.

the last entry, I added today to exclude these services which constantly change the suffix. result no more notification.
                  Hope this helps

Found in another thread: Open "Template OS Windows" -> Discovery rules -> Windows Service Discovery -> tab "Filters" -> check @Windows service names for discovery
Open Administration -> General -> choose "Regular Expressions" in top right corner -> find "Windows service names for discovery" and add "BITS"
