Long queues for Simple checks.

Hello everyone.

We have a lot "Simple check" items on our Zabbix, most of them are working on VmWare Virtual Servers with different VmWare Templates.

Than more servers we've add, than more Simple checks queues we've got.

We want to avoide this queues, what we need to check or change in cfg-file?

You can increase your pollers or pingers for simple check in etc/zabbix/zabbix_server.conf :

StartPollers=
StartPingers=

We monitor all our devices from single Proxy.

What have tried to change cfg-file on the Proxy, but we not sure we made it right.

What we have now in /etc/zabbix/zabbix_proxy.conf

StartSNMPPollers=15
StartPollersUnreachable=15
StartPingers=1
StartDiscoverers=5
StartHTTPPollers=1
StartVMwareCollectors=3
VMwareFrequency=60

VMwareTimeout=120
CacheSize=256M

Should I change "StartPingers" to increase "Simple checks" capacity?

You can use the Zabbix proxy health template to monitor your proxy, that way you can see some metrics about pollers and caches usage.

If they're too high, then yeah, you should increase it.

I changed StartPingers= parameter from 1 to 15 and that helped me.
