    Problem active check ZABBIX active Agent "Unknow" status

    Hi,

    I'm actually try to use Zabbiox
    I have installed Zabbix server 7.4.0 on a debian OS 12 (bookworm) and installed an active agent on a debian trixie.

    I have comment the "Server" line on the /etc/zabbix/zabbix_agent2.conf, add my ListenPort on 10051 (custom port of my zabbix server), added the IP of my server on ServerActive, and have force the "Hostname" and restarted the agent2 service. All others params are set as default.

    The host is configured like this :

    But my active check is "Unknow".

    ​
    An other linux server configured with same parameters and the active check works perfectly.

    I don't see reject packet on my firewall, don't have errors on /var/log/zabbix/zabbix_server.log or on the /var/log/zabbix/zabbix_agent2.log (on host)...

    Have you some idea about this problem please ?

      What is the agent version on that Trixie host, and what version is used on the other Linux server?

          Hi,

          I have search a little on my side to understand what happened : it appear my debian host are broken (testing repo have activate, some package installed then trixie os, but bulleyes repo, some dark things...) then the package/os/repo not match, and the problem is not really on zabbix side.
          Actually works with passive agent 5.0.46 with my server 7.4.0, I will wait until 9th august 2025 to do a correct and stable update to trixie, and reinstall/retry active agent with correct repo source.

          I'll keep this post open until this OS upgrade, if have some problem after in connection with, if not I'll closed it after.

              If you happen to end up using the Debian-packaged Zabbix agent in trixie (currently version 7.0.10), note that the config include directory (/etc/zabbix/zabbix_agent2.conf.d) is different from the usual Zabbix-style include directory (/etc/zabbix/zabbix_agent2.d). It bit me for sure

              Let's see when trixie packages are available by Zabbix.
