RDP from Dashboard

I want to make RDP to my Windwos host from dashboard when trigger is active.
How can accomplish that ?!
It is possible at all ?

That's some significant added functionality you want there...I doubt it will ever be developed

I can actually think of two ways this can be done but both do not work 'out of the box' and will probably require something to be done on the client side to make them work.

The first way I can think of is to make .rdp files which Windows from XP up already associate with the RDP client software. You could create a template of these and maybe find a way to pass the hostname to it and then launch it inside of a HTML URL tag even though it stays on the server. Maybe some server side code like http://<my zabbix server>/rdp?tag=server1

Then maybe have that be code that alters a .rdp template file to include the text line stating the hostname and redirect to that file in your code, then that should launch it.

The second way would be to register the rdp:// URL scheme on the Windows computer of anyone who wants to use it like this and then create the URLs like rdp://server1 and it should trigger the app in Windows.

In Windows 8 and up it should be as simple (I think) as running that URI once and letting the pop up to pick an app for that run make the change for you. It is possible that it may take more though to do and that's in the second article.
