    Mikrotik WAN port Down Dashboard

    Hello,

I have multiple MikroTik routers deployed across several locations. Each router has at least two WAN ports, and most of these WAN ports are connected to ISP routers, receiving local IP addresses from them.

I would like to create a Zabbix dashboard that clearly indicates, for any given location, which specific WAN link is down when an internet outage occurs.

I have already created a Zabbix template for monitoring MikroTik ISP connections. However, the current setup is showing all disabled or disconnected Ethernet ports on all routers in the dashboard, which generates excessive noise and makes it difficult to identify actual WAN link failures.

How can I modify the template so that Zabbix monitors only the WAN ports and alerts exclusively when one of those specific interfaces goes down, ignoring other unused or disabled Ethernet ports?

Any guidance on filtering, item configuration, or discovery rules would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you.
