Install Zabbix 3.0 with IBM DB2 in RHEL 7 server

    Hello All,

I need to install zabbix version 3 with IBM DB2. Im using a RedHat V7 server.

Do you have a guide or procedure to take in order to get this installation successfully deployed?

I already have installed DB2 on the server: DB2 Enterprise Server Edition v10.5

Please let me know if any further information is needed.

    Thanks and best regards,

    Hi,
pelase check https://www.zabbix.com/documentation...cripts#ibm_db2 for scripts and you need to understand that you will need to compile the server from the sources with DB2 support --with-ibm-db2= (https://www.zabbix.com/documentation...lation/install).

However it is recommended to use MySQL/MariaDB over the other DB engines until you have very qualified DBA team for particular DB engine!

    Regards,
    Alex!

      Hi

@mafernan have you installed zabbix and db2?

We have a team of skilled db2 admins and we are considering moving from PostgreSQL to db2. Is that a good idea?

Our PostgreSQL db got enormous (around 1,7 TB) and we strongly feel that PostgreSQL is not too good for that amount of data.
