Migrate zabbix 2.4 to 3.4

Hi,

I'm writing here to get some suggestions on the topic of Zabbix migration.

Since my Zabbix server(version2.4) is aged, I'd like to migrate all the current settings to the new Zabbix server with version3.4. As I know, there is some difference in the table structure for the two versions, there's no easy way to import and export the data.

Now I get lost in this, could you please give me more comments and suggesitons for the migration process?

Hi,
I'm looking to do exactly the same thing. So far I have found the a "backup solution" via this page: https://www.zabbix.com/forum/zabbix-...ckup-migration
However I have already clarified there are about 16 new tables in the 3.4
Also I'm concerned how it will work as my new setup would be a distributed model, as of frontend and proxy run on machine01 and server database run on machine02. (With further proxy's on the horizon) so not sure how this would have worked out..
Anyway any help would be appreciated, as documentation is not totally clear either on distributed setups neither on backup or migration.
