plugin zabbix for firefox

Hi pesadilla,

Its sound very intersting ...

You know 'BBTray' (www.deadcat.net) its a 'sys tray app' that show a popup window if 'BigBrother' (Hobbit Monitor) have some trigger actived. I guess its a good idea to ZABBIX. Administrators can keep working and get a popup window and (so) access zabbix interface.

Its didnt have a 'screen' its only a 'Sys Tray' icon (green, yellow or red), if we do a double click in this icon a 'Firefox / IE' windows open in BigBrother (zabbix) interface.

The only job is 'do a get in tr_status.php' and ... if exist a trigger active this icon change his color according trigger severity an sound a wave ... so we do a double click in this icon and open a browser in ZABBIX interface.

What you think ? In the 'www.deadcat.net' you can get the BBTray sources.

Can you imagine ? Our manager with a 'sys tray' that will popup a window or play a sound if a 'Service' get some trigger active ...

- remember bar collapsed on new windows and on startup

I just found your plugin and I already love it ! Thank you so much for sharing

A couple suggestions :

• Make the popup alert an option
• Display the window when it is not empty only : I mainly use your plugin to monitor the issues, so if it could auto hide when there is no issue, that would be great.

Is this a bug ? I did enter the correct username and password in the plugin config, but it is not able to connect to our zabbix server unless I log in to the web frontpage from Firefox.
I am running zabbix 1.6.4 and firefox 3.0.10 on fedora9.
Same issue for my partner on windows vista.

This update looks very promising but I still can't log into zabbix with your plugin

What is the exact URL that we have to enter in the preferences ?

I know that the usename and password entered are correct.

Frontend version is 1.6.4 and as I said in my previous post, I got it working by using a password without special character.

The Auto show/hide feature is working like a charm and I really like it.

But it seems that I can't get rid of the popup ? "Show issues on popup" is unchecked, though.

I can't test the sounds right now because I just got a new machine and I am still configuring it, lol.
