Over the last week or so I've been setting up quite a bit of monitoring using Zapcat and Zabbix. One of the current frustrations is that two separate hosts have to be created: one for the Zabbix agent and another for the Zapcat agent.
Would it be possible to add a Zapcat agent configuration section for each host (similar to what's there for IPMI)? If so, it could be a checkbox just like the IPMI section that simply asks for the port number (and any other relevant information too). If that can be done, I assume that the jmx keys could then be made to look for the Zapcat agent port from the host configuration.
That alone I think would help tremendously and would cut down on a lot of extra configuration. Is this even possible to do or would it require some crazy hacking of the code?
Or maybe if I'm REALLY lucky, has anyone actually hacked the code to do this?
