Hi,
at the moment I'm setting up Zabbix to monitor different networks. For security reasons the networks have different SNMP-communities (not my fault
) and so I ran in some trouble using the Host.SNMP-Template.
Because you set up the SNMP-community for the each item and not for an host, you've to copy the whole Host.SNMP-Template to an other Host.SNMP1-Template to use different SNMP-Communities.
My suggestion ist to change the configuration from the item (where you've to re-enter it a few times for each new item you create) to the host. At the moment I do not see the need to set up different SNMP-communities on one host, but what do other Zabbix-users think about that?
