I think (not sure) last time someone had that problem, purging and reinstalling the web frontend package solved that.

    Take backups
    sudo apt purge zabbix-frontend-php
    sudo apt install zabbix-frontend-php

Hello, I have upgraded recently from 5.4 to 7.0.2. Everything is working fine, however I have the same issue as snetgh. The X axis shows only dots, but not time values. I have tried reinstalling the front end but the issue still persists. I use also Ubuntu Server 24.04 with PHP 8.3.

I think the issue is with the PHP 8.3. I tried the installation on Ubuntu 24.04 with PHP 8.2 and it works fine. If the Zabbix Team can look into the issue with PHP 8.3

I've got the same issue after upgrading from 22.04 to 24.04.01 just yesterday.
/usr/share/zabbix/assets/fonts/graphfont.ttf is symlinked properly. zabbix-frontend-php and zabbix-nginx-conf purged, reinstalled.
Logs do not point to any errors, issues.
Very puzzled by why time values are not displayed properly - and this is only on classic graphs.

Edit/update, I tried switching over to PHP 8.2 (from 8.3), purging zabbix-frontend-php and zabbix-nginx-conf, reinstalled, but it didn't help.

Hi Snetgh, I just tried what you suggested, but unfortunately still don't have the timeline values in graphs. Here is what I did:

    - I completely removed PHP: sudo apt remove --purge php*
    - I reinstalled PHP8.2: sudi apt install php8.2
    - Then I reinstalled all required PHP extensions for Zabbix, in version 8.2
    - Then I reinstalled Zabbix front-end (notice that it installs several PHP 8.3 extensions!)
    - Then changed php.ini values to fit the required for zabbix front-end to work properly
    - Finally restarted apache service

After all this, if I check my computer it says I am on PHP 8.2:

    root@ticsvzabbix:~# php -v
    PHP 8.2.23 (cli) (built: Aug 30 2024 09:22:17) (NTS)
    Copyright (c) The PHP Group
Zend Engine v4.2.23, Copyright (c) Zend Technologies
with Zend OPcache v8.2.23, Copyright (c), by Zend Technologies

Then, when accessing the front-end for the first time, I get the welcome config screen. After going thru it, I access my dashboard. If I check on any graph I can see issues with the timeline as I had before:

I had the same problem after upgrading to Ubuntu 24.04 base image. Check that you are not using the repository:
            PHP Code:
            ppa:ondrej/php
When I built the image, it was specified in the Dockerfile. After removing it, everything worked as it should. Along the way, I updated php to version 8.3. Image based on Ubuntu 24.04. Zabbix version 6.4.20.

Thank you for the solution. I used this repository since years for PHP-packages, because it's a bit more up2date I thought. But it looks like there are also bugs in it.

            So, i removed the
            PHP Code:
            ppa:ondrey/php
and then install deb package of php8.3, but the problem was not resolved

              I found a solution:
              1. Remove ppa:ondrey/php
              2. However, after switching to the stock distro version of
              HTML Code:
              libgd3
              the problem disappeared.

This is not just an Ubuntu issue, I am having the same issue on Debian with PHP 8.2 and libgd3 2.3.3-12+b1. So I guess the issue lies with libgd3.
Or not. Actual issue is here:

                and here:
When writing a string with gdImagestringFT, one character is displaced relative to the previous character in x direction by the correct amount but by a wrong (but not always zero) amount in y direc...
