I have and idea that I haven't tested, could you use ssh something like this:

ssh zabbix@proxy ssh zabbix@host sudo remote command

Or leverage something like asnible

+1 on this. It would be really awesome if we have this feature to run remote commands on active agents.

+1 for this important feature as not being able to trigger commands is significantly limiting.

This would be nice. This would be in conjunction of generating on install and using asymmetrical key pair, like RSA or ed25519, in order to prevent two active agents with same hostname and the security/function issues involved. You could even use it to encrypt transport.. It would be a lot easier then psk. Something simple like ssh. Maybe this is a feature request in git.
