Warning: ZABBIX semaphores already exist,$

Hello all,

We use zabbix 1.6 on debian etch, last week Zabbix is stop working.
When we start zabbix-server there is no error message, but the log file gives /usr/local/sbin/zabbix_server [3334]: Warning: ZABBIX semaphores already exist,$

Hmm. My memory isn't working that far back... you are probably running into a bug that has been fixed. You should update to 1.6.2 or 1.6.3pre if you're using SNMP.

I do not think there are any bugs, probably just extensive debug output. Pay close attention to another problem, the port is already used:

Port already in use

I have seen this same problem appear on my zabbix_agentd. I noticed that I wasn't getting remote commands executed on the client, so I attempted to restart the zabbix_agentd daemon. I have debug set to 4, and all I see is this message:

 Listener failed with error: Cannot bind to port 10050 for server [ANY]. Error [Address already in use]. Another zabbix_agentd already running ?.

Nmap reports that the ports 10050 and 10051 are closed.

Any suggestions? This was working fine before the weekend.
