    net.if.in[eth0,bytes] don't work!

    Hello,

on Server 1 i have Zabbix Server and on Server 2 i have the agentd.

If i check net.if.in[eth0,bytes] on server 2 with:
    zabbix_agentd -t net.if.in[eth0,bytes]

    i will get
    net.if.in[eth0,bytes] [u|1957288393689]

But if the server is askin the server 2 i will get the error in the agentd log:
    016778:20090325:224615 Got line:net.if.in[eth0,bytes]
    016778:20090325:224615 Sending back:ZBX_NOTSUPPORTED

    What is the error?????

    Thank you, Greetings Simon

What OS are you running? When I ran my zabbix_agentd on freebsd, eth0 obviously didn't work, I had to change it to em0 and it started working.

Does the hostname in GUI and in agent config match exactly?

          cheers

Strange! If the other key_s work, try raising DebugLevel in zabbix_agentd.conf to "4" and we might see what's happening there... .

              Cheers

modify your netinterface on your system like this:
                #/sbin/ifconfig
                bge0: flags=8843<UP,BROADCAST,RUNNING,SIMPLEX,MULTICAST> mtu 1500
                options=1b<RXCSUM,TXCSUM,VLAN_MTU,VLAN_HWTAGGING>

                ether 00:1b:fc:f3:34:8b
                media: Ethernet autoselect (100baseTX <full-duplex>)
                status: active
                net.if.in[bge0,bytes]
