    Web monitoring over Zabbix Proxy

    Hello,

I am trying to setup web monitoring to a host that is currently monitored by a Zabbix proxy agent. The Zabbix server doesn't have access to host being monitored, only the zabbix proxy does.

However, when I setup a web monitoring for that hosts, it appears that Zabbix Server tries to send the http request to the host, instead of the zabbix proxy.

Is there some way to "force" a web check to be executed from the proxy instead of the server?

Both Server and Proxy are compiled with libCurl, version 1.6.4.

This will be supported in 1.8 only.

I am using the version 1.8, but sounds like it is also sent from the server itself.

          When?????

          When will this be supported?

having to setup a multi-node configuration just to get web checks going from different ip endpoints seems a HUGE waste.

update on web monitoring via Zabbix proxy?

Any update on when this feature will be available in a release?

My workaround of having VPN tunnels between my cloud Zabbix server and target networks is not scalable.

              I'm also interested.

I'm testing with 1.9.5 and still does not work.

                Still unresolved.

Others interested in this functionality are encouraged to vote up the feature request.
